Citrus Jam Overload<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

With the market closed for the winter, I’ve had plenty of time on my hands to make jam. It’s a good thing, too, because there has been plenty of citrus fruit available! Thanks to my many fruit suppliers, I now have hundreds of jars of citrus jams available, including two kinds of orange jam, tangerine jam, lemon jam, grapefruit jam (from two different trees), and kumquat marmalade.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

The Market Reopens<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Tallahassee Downtown Market is open again! Going back and setting up my tent among all the others reminded me of Spring flowers popping up everywhere. And it was fun to greet all the familiar faces that I hadn’t seen for months. I got everything all set up and displayed all my Single Tree jams and granolas on my tables. I was ready to start the day!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was a busy day and the business did well, but that was not the best part. About two hours in I heard a voice behind me say, “Hi, Grandpa.” I whirled around and there was Kiley, my 17-year-old granddaughter! She had just gotten off work, saw my social media post about being back at the market, and decided to come and visit. What a treat! I was so happy, I forgot to get a picture of us together. She began helping me, and it was none too soon. In the next 30 minutes we had so many customers that I couldn’t handle them all. Thank you, Kiley! <\/p>\n<\/div>

It Only Takes One Taste<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

I am retired now, but I met up with my old boss the other day for lunch. We have spoken about my Single Tree business before, but she had never tasted it. This time I brought her a gift: a bag of Cranberry\/Almond Granola. Over lunch, she asked me quite a lot about Single Tree Products. I shared with her the link to the article in the Tallahassee Democrat that was published last year (you can read it HERE<\/a>) and the link to the Single Tree website. In a few days I contacted her to ask how she liked the granola. She replied that it was almost gone, and that she was in the middle of placing an order. Sure enough, in a few minutes I received an online order for a two more bags of granola and two jars of jam. She also subscribed to the quarterly newsletter. I was thrilled!<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n
